Tourism Minister Rohan Khaunte has said Goa’s tourist arrivals are increasing irrespective of whether Electronic Dance Music (EDM) events are organised in the state, challenging claims that such events are primarily responsible for attracting tourists.
Khaunte said developments over the past two years had demonstrated that Goa’s tourism growth was not dependent on EDM organisers.
He pointed out that tourist arrivals had increased in December last year as well, indicating that visitors continued to choose Goa even without relying solely on major music events.
