The Goa State Transport Authority has notified a new distance-based fare structure for tourist taxis and black-yellow taxis with the revised rates coming into effect from September 25, 2026.

Under the revised tariff, the minimum fare for the first 3 km will be ₹300 for hatchbacks and sedans, ₹400 for regular SUVs, ₹500 for premium SUVs and ₹1,000 for premium cabs.

For journeys between 3.1 km and 8 km, passengers will be charged between ₹445 and ₹1,745, depending on the vehicle category.

For distances beyond 8 km, the fare will range from ₹29 to ₹149 per kilometre based on the type of vehicle.

The notification also provides for a 35% tariff surcharge. In addition, passengers travelling during the night will have to pay ₹100 per hour as night charges, applicable between 11 PM and 5 AM.
Passengers will also be required to bear applicable toll charges, ferry fees, taxes and parking charges over and above the taxi fare.

The revised fare structure applies specifically to self-employed tourist taxi operators attached to beach and star hotels.
