Goa Forward Party (GFP) chief Vijai Sardesai launched his Kushawati District Campaign from the Sanvordem constituency, along with former PWD Minister and ex-Sanvordem MLA Deepak Pauskar. During the door-to-door campaign, Sardesai issued a strong warning to the Goa government regarding unpaid dues owed to local sugarcane farmers. Sardesai stated that if sugarcane farmers do not receive their pending payments by August 31, he will raise their issue at the Goa Legislative Assembly floor. He warned that if the Assembly Speaker refuses to allow the discussion, he will enter the Well of the House in protest.
