The Goa Cricket Association (GCA) committee has denied allegations of corruption amounting to ₹50 crore, maintaining that the current committee has focused on the development of the association since taking charge recently.
GCA Treasurer Sayed Abdul Majid said the present committee assumed responsibility only recently and has been working towards the association’s development during its tenure.
Addressing the allegations, Majid maintained that all expenditure incurred by the association is supported by proper bills and documentation. He rejected the corruption charges and defended the committee’s handling of the association’s affairs.
The treasurer also criticised the opposition for making allegations against the committee, stating that such charges should not be levelled under political pressure.
The allegations and the committee’s response have brought the association’s financial management into focus, with the GCA maintaining that its expenditure is backed by the necessary records.
