Tourism Minister Rohan Khaunte has assured that the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Museum project at Farmagudi will be completed by the end of October 2026.

Khaunte inspected the ongoing project along with the Mangueshi parking lot and other associated facilities in the presence of senior government officials.

The Tourism Minister said the Farmagudi project is being developed as a major tourist attraction and will showcase the historical connection of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj with Goa through digital displays and immersive experiences.

He said the project will feature heritage and historical content, along with traditional and musical evenings aimed at enhancing the visitor experience.

Around 60% of the work has been completed, with supporting facilities including parking, shuttle services and a cafeteria also being developed as part of the project.

Khaunte said the completed facility is expected to offer visitors a combination of history, heritage, culture and entertainment, strengthening Farmagudi’s position as a tourism destination.
