Union Home Minister Amit Shah curtailed his Goa programme following the tragic building collapse in Delhi, in which several children lost their lives.

Shah had inaugurated the new BJP office in Goa, but the programmes scheduled after the inauguration were called off following news of the tragedy in Delhi.

Chief Minister Pramod Sawant announced the curtailment of the programme, saying the decision was taken following the tragic incident in the national capital.

The building collapse left several people dead, with rescue operations underway to locate and evacuate those feared trapped.
