Civil Supplies Secretary IAS Sanjiv M. Gadkar has clarified that beneficiaries availing themselves of the Ujjwala Yojana will not lose any of their existing government scheme benefits.
Gadkar said the instalment will be credited to the bank accounts of beneficiaries who have already completed the registration process. He added that new applicants will be able to avail themselves of the benefits of the scheme in the next phase.
The clarification comes amid concerns among beneficiaries over whether enrolling under the Ujjwala Yojana would affect their eligibility for other government schemes.
