The High Court has issued notices to Tribal Welfare Minister Ramesh Tawadkar and other government authorities in a public interest litigation filed by activist Kashinath Shetye over an allegedly unauthorised structure in Poinguinim.

The petition seeks directions to the authorities to demolish the structure allegedly owned by Tawadkar and located in Survey No. 20/0 of the Poinguinim Village Panchayat.

According to the petition, the structure has allegedly been in existence since 2015.

The High Court has directed the respondents to respond to the petition, with the matter scheduled to be heard on October 28.
