Residents of Chudiya in Rivona raised serious concerns during the Gram Sabha over the alleged illegal dumping of industrial chemical waste by unidentified persons in the village. According to the villagers, the waste emits a foul smell and creates unhygienic conditions, posing a potential threat to public health. They alleged that during the monsoon, rainwater washes the chemical waste into nearby paddy fields, raising fears of soil contamination and damage to agricultural land. Villagers further claimed that despite bringing the matter to the notice of the village panchayat and the concerned government departments on several occasions, no concrete action has been taken to identify those responsible or remove the waste. They demanded immediate intervention by the authorities, a thorough investigation into the illegal dumping, and strict action against those involved to safeguard the environment and the health of local residents.
