Employees working under the Goa Human Resources Development Corporation (GHRDC) are facing an 18% GST deduction on their salaries. Although higher salaries are reflected on paper, employees receive only a fraction in hand, while standard deductions like PF are compounded by unexplained and legally questionable GST cuts.

For the past twelve years, these workers have reportedly endured lower pay relative to their workloads, receiving threats from management whenever they question these practices. Despite Chief Minister Pramod Sawant assuring at last year's GHRDC annual event that the salary GST would be stopped, no changes have been implemented even a year later.
