A key connection around the Porvorim Elevated Corridor has been reopened by the government as part of efforts to ease congestion and improve connectivity between Porvorim and Panaji.
As per the traffic advisory, motorists except two-wheelers travelling from Merces towards Porvorim/Calangute will be permitted to use the Atal Setu from the Merces side with effect from today.
The motorists will have to exit the Atal Setu near Hotel Neo Majestic, Porvorim, before reaching the entry point of the Porvorim Elevated Corridor.
Motorists have been advised to exercise caution while entering the service road and follow the instructions of Traffic Police personnel to ensure safe and smooth movement of traffic.
The reopening of the connection is expected to help streamline traffic movement in the area and provide motorists with an additional route towards Porvorim and Calangute.
