Despite below-normal rainfall, paddy cultivation in Goa has largely remained unaffected, with no major impact reported on the overall crop. However, a slight decline in yield has been observed in some fields in the Mardol area.

Agriculture Director Chandrakant Desai said favourable weather conditions helped improve the crop yield in Vainguinim. He assured that farmers who suffered losses would be provided compensation by the department.
