Accessing public services in Goa is now faster and more convenient. The Department of Information Technology, Electronics & Communications (DITE&C), in collaboration with Goa Electronics Limited (GEL), has released an AI-powered WhatsApp Chatbot for Goa Online services.
Officially launched by Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, this digital initiative brings essential public utility services straight into a messaging platform citizens use every day. The new system removes the requirement for downloading separate mobile applications. Citizens can interact with the digital assistant using natural conversational text or simple menu options.
Key capabilities include applying for public services, checking real-time application status, downloading issued certificates and accessing official payment receipts. Designed for accessibility, the tool functions reliably across various smartphone models and varying internet connection speeds.
To start using the service, citizens need to save the official number (9404858105) on their mobile devices and send a "Hi" message on WhatsApp.
