Goa has recorded 51.90 inches of rainfall so far this season, which is 26% below the normal average. The weather department expects light to moderate rain across the state between August 3 and August 8.

The monsoon intensity remains weak across the region. Wind speeds are forecasted to reach 45 to 55 km/h until August 5. Due to these rough weather conditions, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning advising fishermen not to venture into the deep sea.

Additionally, INCOIS has issued a High Wave Alert for the South Goa coastline, specifically from Santerem Point (Vasco) to Kolamb. High ocean waves ranging between 3.0 and 3.4 meters are expected, and people are strongly advised to exercise caution during marine operations.
