Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has announced that a solution to the ongoing access point issues for the Porvorim flyover will be finalized within the next eight days. The assurance comes following a high-level meeting chaired by the Chief Minister, which was attended by PWD Minister Digambar Kamat, local MLA and Minister Rohan Khaunte, and key department officials to discuss traffic management and entry-exit points for the project.

Speaking on the outcome of the meeting, PWD Minister Digambar Kamat stated that measures such as installing rumblers, setting up traffic signals, and defining speed limits are being planned to safely open the flyover for local commuters. Local MLA Rohan Khaunte pushed for improved access to both the Porvorim flyover and Atal Setu, highlighting the need for smoother connectivity for residents of Porvorim as well as commuters traveling from South Goa toward popular destinations like Calangute and Baga.

Addressing the access debate, former PWD Minister Nilesh Cabral noted that the original design for the project included approach roads specifically meant for local residents. However, he clarified that these provisions were removed during the tendering process.
