A 33-year-old man from Karnataka died after reportedly suffering an electric shock while lift installation work was being carried out at the Canacona Health Centre.

The deceased has been identified as Sharan Basav, a native of Karnataka.

The incident occurred while the lift installation work was in progress at the health centre. Fire and other details surrounding the incident are yet to be ascertained.

Canacona Police have initiated an investigation to determine the circumstances that led to the worker's death.
