The Crime Branch of the Goa Police has arrested Gopal Naik, a suspect wanted in connection with the Porvorim shootout case, after tracking him down at the Goa-Karnataka border.
According to police sources, Naik was allegedly disguised as a sadhu when Crime Branch officials caught up with him at the border.
Following his arrest, Naik was brought back to Goa and is being taken into custody for further investigation into the Porvorim shootout.
The Mapusa JMFC Court has remanded Gopal Naik to 5 days police custody.
