The political controversy within the Revolutionary Goans Party (RGP) has intensified, with Ajay Kholkar challenging MLA Viresh Borkar to prove allegations that he misappropriated ₹24 lakh from the party account. Kholkar even offered to let Borkar inspect his house and warned that he would end Borkar’s political career.

The controversy also revolves around alleged derogatory remarks against RGP president Shavina Naik Shirodkar. Reacting to the issue, Shirodkar called upon women across Goa and political parties to collectively raise their voices against character attacks and remarks targeting women in public life. Questioning the silence of the BJP and its Mahila Morcha, she said women's dignity was a societal concern and not merely an internal party matter. She also said RGP would pursue legal action against those responsible.

Meanwhile, Viresh Borkar hit back at his critics, asserting that the people, and not Ajay Kholkar, would decide his political future. Defending his record of protests, Borkar said RGP had never staged political stunts but had stood with people for their causes. He also challenged his critics, saying they were ready to launch another hunger strike if required.
