BJP Goa President Damu Naik has said that Laxmikant Parsekar and Utpal Parrikar should return to the BJP and that their homecoming will take place at the right time. He said the party would take an appropriate decision when the time comes.
Naik also stated that a decision on the BJP–Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party (MGP) alliance would be taken soon. He reiterated that the party’s central leadership would have a role in deciding the alliance arrangements.
Responding to criticism over government programmes aimed at reaching out to people, Naik defended the initiatives and criticised the Congress for its remarks against the government. He also responded to allegations concerning the BJP’s prospects of retaining power.
The BJP leadership’s statements come amid discussions over the party’s organisational strategy and possible alliances ahead of the 2027 Goa Assembly elections.
