Margao Town Police arrest 28-year-old Sameer Khan, a native of Bhopal, for allegedly assaulting an on-duty police constable and injuring him with a stone while attempting to evade apprehension near KRC Station, Aquem. The injured constable was shifted to Hospital for treatment. The second accused allegedly facilitated the incidents. • Verna Police have cracked a minor girl harassment case registered under Cr. No. 125/2026 by tracing and apprehending the accused, Eklis Vas, with the help of CCTV footage and intensive investigation. The accused has been remanded to four days of police custody. • The Goa Directorate of Transport has issued a public advisory urging citizens to verify their e-challan status and make payments only through authorised government portals and applications. Citizens have been cautioned against fraudulent websites and unverified payment links. The Goa Investment Promotion Board (IPB) has signed 9 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) during the Vibrant Goa Summit. Chief Minister announced that through these agreements, Goa is expecting an investment of Rs 8,600 crore, which will create around 5,000 job opportunities in the state.

Additionally, plans are underway to host a Defence Conclave in Goa next year.
