Goa BJP President Damodar “Damu” Naik has said the party is ready to welcome former Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar and Utpal Parrikar back into the Bharatiya Janata Party, reiterating that the organisation’s doors remain open to those willing to work for the party.
Speaking about Parsekar’s possible return, Naik said the date of his rejoining would be decided in consultation with Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, the party’s national leaders and himself.
Naik said the BJP aims to strengthen its organisation by bringing everyone together and working collectively towards the 2027 Goa Assembly elections.
Setting an ambitious electoral target, the BJP president said the party aims to win 30 of the 40 Assembly seats in Goa in 2027.
He emphasised the importance of taking everyone along, including senior leaders and veteran party workers who may have distanced themselves from the organisation due to grievances.
Naik reiterated that the BJP welcomes those who believe in its ideology and principles, stressing that the contributions of experienced leaders remain important as the party prepares for the next Assembly elections.
