Speaking at Warren Alemao’s induction into Congress, the Goa Congress president says the party does not need support in Benaulim and will go it alone in Velim.
Goa Pradesh Congress Committee president Girish Chodankar has ruled out any compromise in the Benaulim constituency, asserting that the party does not need anyone’s support there. He also said Congress would adopt an “Ekla Chalo” (go it alone) approach in Velim.
Chodankar made these remarks during the induction of Warren Alemao into the Congress party. Alemao joined the party along with his supporters.
His statements indicate Congress’s position on contesting in Benaulim and Velim independently, with no compromise planned in either constituency, according to his remarks.
