A 28-year-old taxi driver from Chimbel was allegedly assaulted with sticks and rods by two persons near Subhadra Bar in Chimbel. The injured driver was shifted to Goa Medical College (GMC) for treatment. Old Goa police have arrested the accused. • Minister Babush Monserrate asserts that nobody can dictate where he contests, declaring that he will contest from Panaji itself. On Utpal Parrikar’s possible return to the BJP, Babush says those who left the party are welcome to rejoin, adding that it would strengthen the party and they have also learnt that they are nothing without the party • We are a committee registered with the ECI, and all communication from the ECI through the CEO is addressed to us.
