Margao Town Police arrest 28-year-old Sameer Khan, a native of Bhopal, for allegedly assaulting an on-duty police constable and injuring him with a stone while attempting to evade apprehension near KRC Station, Aquem. The second accused allegedly facilitated the incidents. • Verna Police have cracked a minor girl harassment case registered under Cr. No. 125/2026 by tracing and apprehending the accused, Eklis Vas, with the help of CCTV footage and intensive investigation. The accused has been remanded to four days of police custody. • The Goa Directorate of Transport has issued a public advisory urging citizens to verify their e-challan status and make payments only through authorised government portals and applications. Citizens have been cautioned against fraudulent websites and unverified payment links.
