The Goa government is actively considering immediate measures to provide direct entry to the Atal Setu bridge for residents of Porvorim. Following questions raised over the planning of the recently inaugurated Porvorim flyover, which led to closures and subsequent difficulties for commuters traveling toward Panaji; authorities are implementing temporary solutions. These include setting up temporary signal systems, installing rumble strips, and deploying AI cameras to manage traffic safely.

As a permanent solution, the government is taking steps to construct ramps on both sides of the flyover. Additionally, plans are underway to reopen the previously closed entry point near the old post office road. Currently, due to the closed entries, motorists traveling from Porvorim are forced to go via Monte Guirim to access the highway. Reopening the older route and streamlining traffic management are expected to significantly ease daily commutes for the public.
