The famous Amboli Main Waterfall has been temporarily closed to tourists following incessant heavy rainfall in the region, which has caused the waterfall to swell dramatically and posed serious safety risks.

Authorities took the precautionary decision to restrict access to the waterfall after the continuous downpour led to a sharp rise in the water flow, creating hazardous conditions in and around the site.

Despite the closure, a large number of tourists have continued to arrive in Amboli. With entry to the waterfall prohibited, visitors are being forced to view the cascading waters from the roadside, leaving many disappointed.

Officials said the restriction has been imposed purely as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of tourists. The waterfall will be reopened to visitors once weather conditions improve and the area is declared safe.
