So let us analyse all the players in our quinquennial dumb charade.

 

BJP

They brought in 39A 

So obviously they are 39A ers. 

No one within the party objected loudly enough to Vishwajeet's insane legislation. 

And it is no open secret that many BJP MLAs and opposition MLAs carried favours with Vishwajeet, to get their lands converted.

So squarely, this is a tribe of 39A ers. 

Promote piety and self sacrifice.

Do exactly the polar opposite.

 

CONGRESS

During their earlier tenures at the helm, they always, always were the 39 A types.

Most activists led agitations were precisely against land ravaging policies,instituted by them.

But let's give them the benefit of doubt, this time.

Perhaps they have changed, like maybe chameleons 

So the Goy Rakhon Yatra ( Congress speak, for Take Goa for a RIDE ?? )

may be a success, but it has not been a congress enterprise 

The yatra was about desperate Goans, at their wits end, marching to any call, even if it means clutching at congress straws.

The proof of the pudding will be in the eating.

As E 27 looms, let's see how many turncoats, denied bjp tickets, are embraced by the congress like prodigal sons.

And whether actual 39Aers, (builders, casino magnates, miners) who are not getting their projects moving during this Bjp tenures, pull enough strings in this congress cauldron, and then use those strings like ropes to choke off and snuff out the genuine Anti 39Aers, in the party.

Politics in Goa, my dears, is never linear

It is always a roller coaster ride, ok yatra that makes you vomit. 

And, never for one moment think it's the honest, loyal congressman who holds the levers of that roller coaster ride.

Their supremo and most others are definitely Anti 39A.

Problem is they are vehemently Pro 16 B

My wonderful friends, Miki, Jack, Cruz, Gerson, Sandesh Talekar are viscerally Anti 39 A

Their little challenge, however is they also viscerally believe the A in their lives, are Arvind and Aatishi

And therein lies the tale

And these are the imploding kids, who really get my goat.

Absolutely, Absolutely Anti 39 A.

This youth brigade, instinctively senses they are being eased out of Goa, physically, mentally and emotionally by the political establishment. 

And they have no choice but to fight back.

If not political party at least go the whole nine yards backing a candidate, who is vehemently Anti 39A ,whichever party he/ she belongs to

Is this thought process even feasible?

 

In sum, I am not for a stalling of Goa's economic progress, but planned development is non-negotiable. 

The operative word is Planned.

39 A is an egregious, vile, capricious, suicidal, ghastly, ghastly legislation. 

It must go !!!

And that, and only that is the Battle worth fighting for.

All your other petty, brainless identity politics of religion, caste, language, region, script is pure, unadulterated bullshit.

Inconsequential to anything to do with the future of Goa.
