A suspected case of unregistered EV scooters being rented out to tourists through online websites has come to light in Panaji, raising concerns over compliance with vehicle registration and rental regulations.

Members of the Rent-A-Bike Association reportedly caught three tourists who had booked the scooters online. The scooters allegedly did not have number plates and were being used despite their registration status being questioned.

After the matter came to light, the three scooters were taken into custody by Panaji Police for further investigation.
