Old Goa Police have registered an FIR under the POCSO Act against Crime Branch Police Inspector Vikas Deykar and another accused, Ranjini Palyekar, in connection with the alleged sexual assault of a minor girl.

According to the police, the alleged incidents took place at the Crime Branch premises in Ribandar on July 25 and October 27, 2026. PI Vikas Deykar is accused of sexually assaulting the minor on both occasions, while the second accused allegedly facilitated the incidents.

The case has been registered under Sections 75, 127, 49 and 61(2)(a) read with Section 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023, and Sections 10 and 12 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

The FIR has been registered as Crime No. 132/2026 at Old Goa Police Station.
