The South Goa Collector has issued a fire safety advisory directing all shopkeepers and vendors dealing with firecrackers to strictly follow safety norms during Diwali. The guidelines call for safe storage, adequate fire extinguishers, no smoking or open flames, controlled stocking and unobstructed access for fire tenders to prevent accidents and protect lives. • Responding to allegations of defections, CM Pramod Sawant said leaders joined BJP willingly after witnessing governance delivery, political stability and development. He maintained that the party does not need to bring anyone in to secure a majority. • On electoral roll revision allegations, CM Pramod Sawant said some individuals identified during BLO verification held Portuguese passports or were residing abroad. 32-year-old Balrath Bus Conductor Booked for Molesting Minor Girl Students

Allegations surfaced during school counselling sessions; Verna Police register offence and launch investigation

A 32-year-old conductor employed on a Balrath school bus has been booked for allegedly molesting several minor girl students over a period of several years.

The victims are reportedly students of Classes 5 to 7. The alleged incidents came to light during counselling sessions conducted at the school, where some students reportedly shared their experiences with the school counsellor.

Following the disclosures, the matter was brought to the attention of the school authorities, who subsequently lodged a police complaint against the accused.

The alleged incidents reportedly occurred within the jurisdiction of Verna Police Station. Police have registered an offence against the conductor and initiated an investigation.

Further investigation is underway to establish the full extent of the allegations and ascertain the circumstances surrounding the case
