Goa's Scheduled Tribe (ST) leaders are preparing to approach the Supreme Court challenging the Bombay High Court's interim order staying the notification of the state's ST population figures.

ST leader Govind Shirodkar said that they have taken legal advice from the Solicitor General of India and will file a Special Leave Petition (SLP) before the Supreme Court within this week.

The proposed petition will challenge the Bombay High Court's interim order, which has stayed the notification concerning Goa's Scheduled Tribe population figures.
